Our Summer Elite Skills and Conditioning Camp is designed to strengthen and improve core hockey skills over a six-week period, skating twice a week which will allow for the player to learn and grow with consistency.  This program was created for players to continue their hockey development over the summer months.

Players will learn important skills over the six-week period to help them grow as a hockey player.  We will be focusing on all aspects of the game including:

Stick handling: The focus will be on handling the puck in all different situations, from small areas to large open areas at all different speeds including how to puck handle in high-pressure and low-pressure situations

Shooting:  Players will learn about different types of shooting- snapshot, slapshot, backhand shot and how to
manage these shots at varying rates of speed.  They will learn how to fake a shot, take shots in small areas, and become adept at shooting no matter the position or constraints.

Passing and receiving the puck:  Hone puck skills, such as passing with moving feet, receiving the puck while skating, passing in small areas, quick passing and more.  Learn special skills when receiving pucks to control bouncing.

Skating:  Brush up on proper skating techniques- balance, edges, turns, crossovers forward and back, speed, agility- will be the focus in order to correct mistakes and eliminate bad habits.

With over 40 years of hockey experience as a player, coach, and scout,  Scott believes that if you work on your everyday hockey skills, you will become a well-rounded hockey player that can understand each and every game situation.
